In what’s soon becoming a long standing tradition, Abu Dhabi Cricket will this week play host to four English County Cricket teams who have embarked on the UAE Capital to see out the last of their pre-season training prior to the English summer of cricket commencing.
Every year, the home of cricket for the Emirate (and thriving community sporting hub), hosts County teams for their pre-season training camps with this year being no exception.
The Essex, Somerset, Warwickshire and Worcestershire squads all arrived in Abu Dhabi over the weekend and commenced their training at the world class facility this week.
In addition to net sessions and regular training, the teams will also play a series of 50-over and longer format matches against each other at Zayed Cricket Stadium and its nursery ovals in the coming days.
