Sagar Biunu hit 97 not out and shared 158-run partnership with Soorya Sathish (70) to get Zayed Cricket Academy Eagles to a flying start in the Desert Cubs Cricket Academy U15 tournament.
The visitors electing to bat first posted 230 for 2 in 35 overs and 173 for nine to win their opening Group B game by 57 runs at the Sharjah English School grounds on Friday.
Sagar thumped eight fours and three sixes, and Soorya’s knock contained eight hits to the fence. Nooran Thakur chipped in with a little cameo six-ball 15 not out.
Noor Khan, the left arm spinner, took three wickets and Nathan D’Mello grabbed two.
